As part of East Pointe Country Club’s comprehensive course renovation project, upgrading their irrigation infrastructure became a critical priority. The club needed to install a new pump station to support their enhanced irrigation requirements and selected Roughneck Ranch to perform the necessary structural modifications and reroofing to accommodate this vital equipment.

Our team’s assessment of the existing pump house revealed significant challenges that needed to be addressed before the new pump station could be installed. The structural integrity of the building had been compromised by years of exposure to moisture and humidity typical of pump house environments.

The scope of our work included:

Complete removal of the deteriorated roofing system

Replacement of all roof sheathing due to extensive water damage discovered during demolition

Structural repairs to multiple damaged trusses throughout the building

Engineering and reinforcement of the trusses surrounding the hatch opening

Expansion of the existing hatch opening to align with the wet well dimensions

Implementation of comprehensive waterproofing measures throughout the structure

The expanded hatch opening was specifically designed to facilitate both the initial installation of the new pumps and motors and to ensure ease of access for future maintenance and servicing requirements. This forward-thinking approach will significantly reduce maintenance costs and equipment downtime in the coming years.

With our structural and roofing renovations complete, the pump house is now properly prepared to house the new pump station. The reinforced structure and waterproofing measures will ensure the longevity of both the building and the expensive equipment it will contain, providing East Pointe Country Club with a reliable irrigation solution for their newly renovated course.
